Seafarer’s Almanac
There’s a vast constellation of new lands out there waiting to be seen, and the waters of the Archipelago are the gateway to them all. On this page, you’ll find a selection of islands and other locations that your seafarers might happen across in their travels. Each is only a rough sketch of a locale, though, a prompt to help you prep between sessions.
Each of these locales comes with a table of 6 anchors to help you create the version that exists at your table. When you create a thing that comes from or is connected to a locale, roll an anchor from the table. Create some link between the thing you’re making and the anchor you rolled, however tenuous or abstract it may be.

Here are some brief sketches of new lands you might happen across in your voyages. They’re not as fleshed out as the locales above, but they can offer a starting point when the GM needs an island at short notice.
Blackthorn Isle. A marshy woodland isle covered in lakes and lazy rivers. Its inhabitants live in spidery pontoon villages, floating on the water.
Broken Teeth. Not an island so much as a few flat weathered crags jutting from the ocean. A place to get stranded and die, only slightly better than drowning.
Cloud Island. A mountain that rises from ocean, soaring into the clouds above. The cliffs are sheer and impassable, but an ancient column of water created by the wizards of old offers a one-way passage up to the island.
Harmony Isle. A vast jungle island guarded jealously by titanic, arboreal songborn that move and act like beasts. No one has ever seen what lies at its heart. The original homeland of the rodentfolk.
Labyrinth Island. Though it seems barren and empty at first glance, coves and sea-caves open onto a vast subterrenean complex brimming with strange life that has never seen the sun.
Rainbow Island. An island overrun by brilliant, many-hued land coral that climbs the beaches and reaches skyward. It’s inhabited by a rare kind of coral songborn. At night, the coral shimmers with lights in a hundred colours.
The Hermitage. A miniature archipelago of little islets, connected to each other by bridges and ferries. Each is home to a few scattered homesteads.
The Isle of Wasps. A tumultuous desert isle inhabited by wasp folk, legendary for their skill with the glaive. A land of warlords vying for power, known for its swift ships and relentless reaving.
The Seagrove. An isle of towering mangrove trees that rise from the ocean itself. Forest and island are one and the same. Treehouses and walkways sway between the branches.
The Sea of Splinters. Once the vastest island in the Archipelago, home of a fledgling empire. Now a shattered land of turbulent currents and chaotic magic. A testament to the terrible result of unchecked dissonance.
The Sorcerer’s Redoubt. An island that many have seen but few have ever reached. Those who try are turned aside by strange winds and mysterious fog.
Threetower Island. Home to three active volcanoes, but covered by lush rainforest. When the three towers erupt together, the sky darkens and everything dies.
